International Competitions

 

Coupe Intercontinental (CIC)

The CRA has a by-law with respect to the International French Ring Cup (CIC).  In a year when a CIC event will be held, the Team representing the CRA shall be comprised of teams in accordance to the rules of the event as dictated by the host country.

CRA members are encouraged to contact the BOD if you are interested in sending a dog to the CIC.

To qualify to represent the team for the CRA a Team must have the following:

  • The dog’s handler must be a current CRA member;
  • The dog’s handler must be part of an official CRA Club;
  • The dog’s handler for the CIC must be the same handler for all of the qualifying trials;
  • Blue dogs will not be permitted;
  • Two (2) qualifying scores in the same level the Team wishes to participate in;
  • One of the qualifying trials may be the Canada Cup score from the previous year, if it is the same level;
  • The qualifying scores considered shall be where the dog achieves an excellent result of at least 80% of the points for the level;
  • The qualifying trials must comprise of at least two (2) different judges;
  • Qualifying trials for level three dogs must have had at least one level two and one level one decoy per qualifying trial; and
  • The deadline for qualifying trials is the end of July.

 

Cup of the Americas

The CRA sent a team of 6 dogs to the 2018 Cup of the Americas hosted by NARA and was held in Ohio, USA.
